Create a DIY Spa Day for Your Besties
Share
There’s something special about getting together with a few of your favorite women, putting the phones away, and taking a few hours to simply relax.
And you don’t need a luxury spa reservation to make it happen.
With a few Adonia Organics skincare favorites and some simple, natural ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen, you can turn your home into a relaxing spa retreat for an afternoon or evening of pampering, laughter, and much-needed self-care.
The best part? Everyone can participate, regardless of her skincare routine or budget.
Set the Mood Before Your Guests Arrive

A great spa day starts before the skincare does.
Clean your bathroom or another comfortable space and gather plenty of soft towels, washcloths, headbands, and cozy robes if you have them. Dim the lights, light a candle, put on relaxing music, and set out pitchers of cold water with cucumber, lemon, or fresh mint.
You can even create a little spa station for each guest with a towel, bowl, spoon, cotton rounds, and a small dish for her skincare products.
Keep the atmosphere relaxed. This isn't about getting everything perfect. It's about slowing down and enjoying time together.
Step 1: Start with a Refreshing Cleanse

Have everyone begin by removing makeup and cleansing her face.
Adonia Organics Daily Cleansing Gel is an easy way to start because clean skin gives the rest of your skincare routine a fresh canvas.
After cleansing, use a warm, damp washcloth to gently remove the cleanser. The warmth feels wonderfully relaxing, but avoid making the water too hot. Your skin doesn't need an aggressive approach to feel refreshed.
Then take a few minutes for everyone to simply sit back and relax.
Think of this as the moment when the day officially ends.
Step 2: Make a Simple Kitchen Facial Mask

One of the easiest ways to make your spa day feel special is to prepare a simple mask from ingredients already in your kitchen.
Oatmeal & Honey Comfort Mask
For each guest, combine:
- 1 tablespoon finely ground plain oatmeal
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Enough plain yogurt or water to create a soft, spreadable consistency
Mix everything together and apply a thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area.
Let the mask sit for about 10 minutes while everyone relaxes.
This is a great time for conversation. Put on some music, sip your cucumber water, and enjoy the fact that nobody has to be anywhere else.
When you're ready, gently rinse the mask away with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry.
A note about DIY skincare: Natural doesn't automatically mean that an ingredient is right for every person. Anyone with sensitive skin or known allergies should skip ingredients that may cause a reaction, and it's always smart to patch-test a homemade treatment beforehand. Avoid harsh DIY ingredients such as lemon juice or baking soda, which can irritate the skin.
Step 3: Add a Little Spa Magic with Green Tea

While your masks are doing their job, make a pot of green tea.
Once it has cooled completely, soak two clean cotton rounds in the tea and place them over closed eyes for a few minutes.
It's a simple trick, but it can feel incredibly soothing after a busy week.
You can also serve the remaining tea as your spa beverage. Add a little honey if you like.
Step 4: Bring Out the Adonia Organics Treatments

Now it's time for the products that make your at-home spa feel a little more luxurious.
After rinsing your masks, apply your favorite Adonia Organics treatments according to their directions.
For a nourishing facial ritual, consider following your normal skincare routine with an Adonia Organics serum and moisturizer. Plant-based options such as the Plant Collagen Day Serum, Plant Collagen Night Serum, or Stemulift Moisturizer can turn an ordinary skincare routine into something that feels much more indulgent.
This is also a great opportunity for everyone to share skincare tips. Maybe one friend has discovered the perfect nighttime routine, another has a favorite facial massage technique, and another has finally figured out how to make her skin behave in dry weather.
That's part of the fun.
Step 5: Give Your Hands and Feet Some Attention

A spa day shouldn't stop at your face.
For an easy foot soak, fill a basin with comfortably warm water and add a little Epsom salt. If you have fresh mint or a few slices of cucumber, add those too.
Let everyone soak her feet for 10–15 minutes.
While your feet are soaking, make a simple hand treatment with a little plain olive or jojoba oil. Massage a small amount into the hands, paying special attention to dry areas around the knuckles and cuticles.
If you have an Adonia Organics body treatment such as Stemutone Body Serum, this can also be a lovely time to incorporate it into your body-care ritual according to the product's directions.
Step 6: Try a Relaxing Facial Massage

You don't need expensive equipment to give yourself a mini facial massage.
Using clean hands and your usual moisturizer or facial product, gently massage your face with light upward and outward movements.
Start around the jaw, move toward the cheeks, and then gently work across the forehead.
Don't tug or pull the skin. The goal isn't to manipulate your face aggressively. It's simply to slow down, release some facial tension, and enjoy a few quiet minutes of self-care.
Make this a group activity and you'll probably end up laughing at each other's techniques—which is perfectly fine.
Step 7: Finish with an Adonia Organics "Wow" Moment

Want to make the afternoon feel extra special?
Set aside time for one of your favorite targeted Adonia Organics treatments.
Athena 7 Minute Lift is designed as a quick wrinkle-lifting treatment, making it particularly fun for a girls' spa day when everyone wants to see a little instant beauty boost before dinner or a night out.
Follow the product directions carefully and let everyone enjoy her own before-and-after moment.
You can even take a group photo afterward—not because anyone needs to look perfect, but because someday you'll want to remember the afternoon when everyone took a few hours to simply enjoy being together.
Don't Forget the Spa Snacks

No girls' spa day is complete without something delicious to eat.
Keep it simple and fresh:
- Fresh berries
- Cucumber slices
- Hummus and vegetables
- Dark chocolate
- Nuts
- Fruit-infused water
- Herbal or green tea
- Sparkling water with fresh mint
You could even make the food part of the experience by asking each guest to bring one healthy snack to share.
Create a Little Take-Home Spa Bag

Before everyone leaves, put together a small goodie bag.
It doesn't have to be expensive. A few tea bags, a soft washcloth, a small candle, homemade bath salts, or a favorite natural beauty product can make a thoughtful parting gift.
If you're hosting a larger group, consider giving each guest her own skincare products or individual portions rather than sharing open jars and applicators. Keeping everyone's products and tools separate is a simple way to keep the experience clean and hygienic.
The Real Luxury Is Time Together

The older we get, the easier it can be to put ourselves at the bottom of the list.
Work. Family. Errands. Appointments. Responsibilities.
That's why an afternoon spent with friends can be more restorative than we realize.
You don't need a five-star resort, an expensive facial, or an elaborate itinerary. Sometimes all you need is a clean bathroom, a few natural ingredients from the kitchen, your favorite Adonia Organics products, comfortable pajamas, and a few women who make you laugh.
So invite your girls. Put the kettle on. Turn the music up—or down. Apply the face mask. Soak your feet. Take a deep breath. And enjoy a little time doing absolutely nothing except taking care of yourselves.
Because sometimes the best spa day is the one you create at home.
