We all know winter can be really tough on your skin! Dryness, cracks, and irritation really flare up in colder weather. Most articles will tell you the answer is to moisturize, moisturize, and moisturize again but the truth is; there's much more to it than that. Here's what you need to do if you want to solve it:

  1. Use a humidifier ‐ Most of the moisture your skin loses is through the air. During the winter months, indoor humidity levels typically drop to 10% or less, especially if you're using a furnace. You will notice that your skin retains its natural glow when you keep indoor moisture levels at or above 30%. For best results, use distilled water and regularly clean your humidifier to prevent mold or bacteria.
